A true Southern Belle, galaxy M83 popularly known as the Southern Pinwheel galaxy. It is also called the Thousand Ruby galaxy because of numerous deep red/brown dust lanes spread all thru the galaxy. Captured on June 10, 2018 with a Stellarvue 102ED and Nikon D5300 camera. ISO 400, f7 and 115min tota exposure. Used orion Skyglow imaging filter to cut down on LP as the galaxy never rises above 30 dgrees above southern horizon - in Sugarland' LP dome.
