you're lucky. this is a beautiful camera. wanna get a Luigi half case + strap?

you need a lot of developers.
Wendine 2009-04-18 23:22:02

dear profit 2009-04-18 23:30:24
thanks, everybody.. i was really shocked because i've had some bad ebay camera buying experiences.. i was crossing my fingers that it would work out. the camera really is new in box with all of the packaging, presentation case, manuals, etc in perfect condition.

LOL.. no.. the first thing i'm gonna do is cover up the "red dot" and logos with black tape.. then i'm gonna get an black cloth strap.. i like my cameras to be as anonymous as possible.. (hard to do with the D3 though).. :)
davidteter 2009-04-18 23:33:46
Yes, next time you should be more careful,... Ebay fraud!!!...;-)

I'm impatiently waiting for your first pics with this new toy ! Congrats for the acquisition.
*Olivier is still there, and still busy. :D 2009-04-18 23:47:08
ah, it all ends well =)
Jayna 2009-04-19 00:08:32
wow! congrats!
first brass 2009-04-19 00:16:16
I think I should do the same thing... cover the logo and M8 before my wife finds out I have another new camera.

The D3 + 24-70mm f/2.8 look like a monster tumor compared to the M6 + 35mm summicron.
Wendine 2009-04-19 00:17:47
the D3 with that lens looks like a weapon.. it's as subtle as a sawed-off shotgun. and feel free to send Nat your RD1s so you don't get in trouble. ;)
davidteter 2009-04-19 00:19:50
well isn't this a little bit o' sunshine on a snowy day. : )
gardenhoe 2009-04-19 00:32:51
Oh joy... what a beautiful, beautiful thing. I wish you good health to use it. Looking forward to seeing the results!

All these replies and no one has called you a whore yet?
jgcf 2009-04-19 01:16:23
hope you got your money back. =D
chadâ„  2009-04-19 02:12:37
Beautiful camera. I'm very jealous. I may not have a Leica but at least it's not snowing where I am at. Hahahaha.
Carl Brutananadilewski 2009-04-19 02:14:36

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)
_xxaa_ 2009-04-19 02:18:22

tamelyn 2009-04-19 12:09:45
an outrage!

instead of black tape, you might festoon it with lubi and lomo logos instead
much cooler :)
Friendly Joe 2009-04-19 23:05:57
wow! great find.

snazzy lookin' new toy....
espressoDOM 2009-04-20 10:48:53
you must have b****cks of steel to buy a leica on ebay!

glad it worked out!
filtran 2009-04-20 18:30:49
Cool! Can't wait to see the shots you'll get with this baby...
Seen on your photo stream. (?)
Sandman5 2009-04-20 20:38:57

Nice TTL too! Send it to Shetha. She could really use a decent camera.

Now go out and break it in!!!! Welcome to the land of sharp focus! You could always smear vaseline on the lens to get that Holga feel.

Can't wait to see what you get. Its a different way of shooting. But then again you know this.
gumanow 2009-04-20 21:40:32
Why are you so lucky with your fleabay purchases? Can you be my fleabay scout and find me all the best bargains please?
Baron von Beerfest 2009-04-20 21:44:18
G is right - I need it more than you do :-P Of course there's also the matter of when I would use it... Come to think of it, you just keep it ;-)
shetha 2009-04-20 22:14:18
The only thing worse than Made in Mexico, is Made in Canada....

Zebrio 2009-04-20 22:48:13
most of the time i'm not.. i've gotten some real turkeys off of ebay.. this wasn't exactly exercising good judgement.. i got really, really, really lucky..

what do you mean, shetha? don't you have all the free time in the world? aren't you one of those stay at home, take photos of your kids and drink on a weekday afternoon while the housekeeper cleans the house MWACs?? ;)
davidteter 2009-04-20 23:03:46
oh.. i totally want one of those for my holga... except that each "dot" costs as much as my holga... :P

and i would love a "made in mexico" leica.. when you press the button it would honk like a low rider...
davidteter 2009-04-20 23:06:04
All things German wind up being made better in Mexico. Think Bug! I would place a sticker over Made in Germany, with Made in Mexico, plus a dot cover and electrical tape.

How do you like the grip?
gumanow 2009-04-21 01:18:46
i'm not sure how i like it yet.. it came with the leica grip.. with nat's m6 ttl, i found that i preferred to shoot it w/o the grip (felt better) but when i was shooting it at night i found the grip allowed me to shoot it steadier..
davidteter 2009-04-21 01:33:26
David, will you be posting from this baby soon? I can't stand the wait. ;-)

I picked up a new (to me) camera the other excited. Stop and see it when you get a chance.
mostlyaccidental. 2009-04-22 01:01:59
You bastard.
rob_fuel 2009-04-26 04:23:11
Lovely...lose the grip though. Aesthetics over practicality always.

I've had mine for 2 years and I still haven't bought a "proper" lens for it. The cheapo japanese lenses are good enough for me.
gorbot. 2009-04-26 17:25:37
do you think i should get this...?

make sure you store it at 'B.' :-)

Good advice anas a...
Zebrio 2009-05-01 08:11:56
